Corteva Agriscience is seeking to hire a Regulatory Manager based at our Calgary, Alberta location. Responsibilities of this role include developing regulatory strategies and environmental health and safety initiatives, preparing and managing submissions with various regulatory agencies, and assisting in issue management and government affairs activities for crop protection and plant genetics products. This position involves occasional travel mainly in North America. Employee must have the legal right to work in Canada.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Understand and/or learn to effectively apply various Federal and Provincial Acts and Regulations.
  2. Help set priorities within the group and develop timelines to achieve regulatory success.
  3. Build relationships with Provincial and National regulatory authorities to manage the registration process.
  4. Identify and monitor relevant local legislation, regulation, and emerging trends important to the business.
  5. Provide regulatory compliance/Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) support in several regulated areas.
  6. Manage registrations and help maintain registration compliance status.
  7. Assemble data required for registration dossiers.
  8. Contribute to development of policy in various forums.

What Skills You Need:

  1. Ability to independently make decisions and recommendations based on sound evaluation and analysis.
  2. Ability to understand business needs and develop appropriate responses to regulatory issues.
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  4. Understanding or ability to learn the businesses to deliver timely and appropriate registration and product stewardship support for new products.
  5. Facilitative and group leadership skills in interdisciplinary business teams.
  6. Understanding or ability to learn product technology, applications, and markets.
  7. Ability to take independent action and influence events to achieve results.
  8. Must be highly motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently.

Education / Certification Requirements:

M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred.
