Who you are
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and efficient. Ideally, you have a solid understanding of property assessment and appraisal, along with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients. You should have strong digital literacy, feel comfortable with database usage, and have a deep regard for data integrity and analysis. We’re seeking someone with the ability to read maps, interpret legislation, and use math and statistics to support analysis. Our preferred candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about expanding their knowledge of property valuation and is willing to take the required courses to become an accredited Appraiser.

This role is part of the appraisal series and is a training position for the full working level (Appraiser II). To support you, BC Assessment has developed an Appraiser Progression program. It involves on-the-job training and fully funded education through UBC’s Sauder School of Business, providing a clear path for career advancement!
A valid BC Driver’s license is required for this role. This critical role may involve travel of up to 1-4 weeks per year, depending on location.
