IBM Consulting is a leading provider of technology-led transformation solutions powered by hybrid cloud and AI. The Client Growth Leader is responsible for driving sales of IBM Consulting solutions that leverage our distinctive assets, offerings, and solutions across hybrid cloud, business transformation, and cybersecurity platforms. This role requires proven consulting and services experience in at least one Growth Platform, a strong track record of consulting delivery, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your role and responsibilities

  1. Create and close proactive deals with new clients or new Lines of Business.
  2. Drive new business growth by generating opportunities and acquiring new clients, including new logos or Lines of Business.
  3. Adopt a proactive sales approach, building relationships with potential clients and identifying opportunities aligned with IBM's strategic offerings.
  4. Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue targets and market share goals.
  5. Coordinate deal pursuits within the market, including proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiation.
  6. Manage pursuit teams as needed to advance deals through the sales process.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape to refine sales strategies.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as solutioning, quality, and delivery to meet client needs.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Growth mindset with agility and a drive to succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with strategic partners like AWS, Microsoft Azure, SAP, Salesforce.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience within IBM Consulting or a similar global consulting firm.
  • Familiarity with IBM Consulting services and industry trends.
  • Experience in deal-making and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Industry specialization is a plus.
