The Opportunity

We’re entering a phase of rapid growth and are looking for a Business Development Lead to take charge of customer acquisition and relationship building in the fleet and transportation sector. This is not your average sales role—you’ll operate at the intersection of applied science, field engineering, and market development.

You'll own and shape how ChillSkyn shows up in the transportation industry: from identifying early adopters to proving ROI, closing deals, and scaling deployment. You’ll have a voice in how our product is positioned, deployed, and improved in the field—working alongside scientists and engineers to bring a revolutionary tech to market.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead business development efforts in the North American fleet and trailer markets, including reefer, dry van operators and OEMs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: from prospecting and customer education to closing multi-site pilot and rollout agreements.
  • Build ROI-driven business cases using real operational data from pilot projects.
  • Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and commercial tools to accelerate decision-making.
  • Represent ChillSkyn at key industry events, trade shows, and customer demos.
  • Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure successful deployment and validation of the technology.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing market intelligence and helping inform product and GTM strategy.
  • Use CRM and sales enablement tools (like HubSpot) to track activity and performance and help build scalable processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–6 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, or technical commercialization, ideally in sectors like fleet transportation, logistics, coatings, industrial materials, or energy.
  • A background in science or engineering (academic or professional) is a strong asset: you’ll be selling a technical product to a practical audience.
  • Comfortable working in early-market ambiguity: building relationships, validating hypotheses, and co-creating solutions with customers.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to tell a compelling story, translate technical value into business outcomes, and build trust.
  • CRM-savvy: experienced with tools like HubSpot, and eager to build and optimize your sales toolkit.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across North America to visit customers, attend events, and support deployments.
