Base pay range

CA$65,000.00 / yr - CA$90,000.00 / yr

We are seeking a driven and dynamic Business Development Executive / National Account Manager to join our clients growing team. This role is perfect for a motivated professional with a strong foundation in freight brokerage and account management. The ideal candidate will have experience building and maintaining relationships, generating new business, and managing accounts on a national scale.

As a BDE / National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing new client relationships, managing a portfolio of existing accounts, and providing top-tier service to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with internal teams and carriers to ensure seamless transportation logistics and execute strategic business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • New Business Development : Proactively identify and acquire new clients by leveraging industry knowledge, cold calling, and creative sales strategies.
  • Account Management : Manage and grow accounts by providing outstanding service and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Market Research : Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and provide the best possible service offerings to clients.
  • Negotiation & Pricing : Negotiate rates and service terms with clients and carriers to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Support : Address client concerns and inquiries promptly, ensuring high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analytics : Track performance metrics, analyze business trends, and report regularly to leadership on sales activities and account growth.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : 1-3 years of experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales, with a proven track record of success in business development and account management.
  • Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with the transportation and logistics industry, including freight rates, shipping solutions, and market trends.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
  • Self-Starter : Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple accounts and responsibilities.
  • Tech-Savvy : Proficiency with logistics software, CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, etc.), and MS Office Suite.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in national account management or large-scale logistics coordination.
  • Knowledge of various transportation modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation skills and a results-driven approach.
