The Opportunity

As Commercial Director, Retail Insights & Consulting, you will lead the growth of Flywheel’s Retail Insights and Consulting solutions. You will manage the end-to-end sales process for analytics, market intelligence, and consulting services, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders at top manufacturers and retailers. Your consultative skills, retail & digital commerce expertise, and ability to communicate complex value propositions will be vital to expanding Flywheel’s market presence.

What You Will Do :

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for Retail Insights and Consulting, exceeding revenue goals and expanding our enterprise client base.
  • Lead complex, solution-based sales cycles, understanding client challenges and aligning our offerings to deliver measurable value.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders, serving as their advisor in digital commerce, retail media, and market intelligence.
  • Effectively communicate the unique value of Flywheel’s platforms, including analytics, competitive intelligence, and consulting, to drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Consulting, Analytics, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high client satisfaction.
  • Represent Flywheel at industry events, webinars, and workshops; contribute thought leadership on retail trends and strategies.
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecast opportunities accurately, and report progress to leadership.
  • Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform product and service enhancements.

Who You Are :

  • Experienced in B2B sales, business development, or account management, preferably selling analytics, SaaS, consulting, or market intelligence solutions to CPG, retail, or eCommerce clients.
  • Deep understanding of digital retail, retail media, eCommerce analytics, and the manufacturing/retailer ecosystem.
  • Skilled at uncovering client needs, translating analytics into actionable insights, and building trust as an advisor.
  • Proven success in developing executive-level relationships and influencing decision-makers.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong pipeline management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling abilities, with experience leading client interactions and industry events.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical, consulting, and product teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic about retail and digital commerce trends and contributing to industry thought leadership.

This position offers commission eligibility.
