Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in sales support, communications and marketing; government procurement is an asset.
• Degree in Science, Business, Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to draft clear emails and decks.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to interpret data, generate insights and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Qualify inbound leads and assign them to appropriate account executives
• Conduct initial outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn) to schedule discovery calls
• Maintain the CRM (e.g., Salesforce) – update lead status, log activities, attach relevant documents, and ensure data cleanliness
• Generate weekly pipeline reports and dashboard updates for the BD Director

Proposal & Quote Support

• Gather pricing, product, and service information from cross‑functional teams
• Compile and format proposals, RFP responses, and quotes using company templates
• Track proposal deadlines and follow up with stakeholders to secure approvals
• Log all submitted proposals in the CRM and monitor their progress

Market & Competitive Research

• Conduct desk research on target industries, key prospects, and emerging market trends
• Maintain a repository of competitor intelligence, pricing models, and product positioning
• Summarize findings into concise briefing notes for the BD team

Event & Campaign Coordination

• Plan and execute logistics for webinars, trade shows, networking events, and client visits
• Coordinate promotional materials, booth design, and lead‑capture tools
• Track event ROI and feed qualified leads back into the pipeline

Administrative & Reporting

• Prepare weekly status reports, sales forecasts, and KPI dashboards for senior leadership
• Process expense reports, purchase orders, and other financial documentation related to BD activities
• Schedule internal meetings, track action items, and ensure follow‑through
• Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and recommend workflow enhancements
• Participate in regular training sessions on product knowledge, sales methodology, and CRM usage
• Contribute ideas for new business development tactics, tools, and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in sales support, communications and marketing. Experience with government procurement is an asset
• Degree in Science, Business, Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g. Sales Force) and Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication with proven ability to draft clear, persuasive emails and presentation decks
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking capability with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
• Ability to interpret data, generate insights and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Team Player with collaborative mindset and a service-oriented attitude toward both internal colleagues and external prospects

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the Reliability or Secret level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP)/ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is 51,200.00 to $70,400.00 CAD annually.
