As a Business Development Coordinator (Industries Cohort), you will be:

Providing support for firm-wide practice/industry group business development (“BD”) initiatives and projects focused on expanding our work with our existing clients and attracting new clients, including:

  • Coordinating and supporting go-to-market strategies, targeting initiatives and BD plans.
  • Compiling, summarizing and analyzing competitive, client, market and business intelligence.
  • Preparing and updating marketing collateral, credentials packages, info sheets and deal lists.
  • Tracking and reporting on business development and marketing activity/information/WINs in a variety of databases, including Salesforce.
  • Collecting, verifying and adding key matter information in the Deals & Cases database on an ongoing basis, working with Finance and Records Management and utilizing online sources to fill information gaps.
  • Assisting with the completion of rankings and awards submissions.
  • Reviewing and executing sponsorship opportunities, including working with the Communications team to develop advertisements or promotional materials providing signage, logos, marketing materials, name tags, follow-up activities, and tracking and reporting in Salesforce.
  • Supporting the Marketing Solutions team, including routing requests to the appropriate functional teams, assisting with lawyer profile updates, and/or other services as needed.
  • Supporting BD related administration including scheduling and coordinating meetings.
  • Processing invoices and renewals and ensuring proper approvals for all invoices are obtained.
  • Collaborating with the Communications team and Design team to prepare social media content promoting industry group activities and events.
  • Working with C&M Managers to support small industry focused events, including sourcing venues, selecting catering, preparing targeted invite lists, sending invitations and tracking RSVPs, and follow-up activities.
  • Providing other support to the national C&M team as needed.

As our ideal candidate, you will distinguish yourself by the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant business experience, ideally acquired in a large professional services organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite; ability to quickly learn and leverage new technology solutions. Experience working with Salesforce and SharePoint an asset.
  • Professional maturity including strong interpersonal skills, tact and discretion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities with challenging deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to complete designated tasks in a systematic and logical way.
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to monitor and adhere to deadlines.
