Career Opportunity

Ajax Hyundai is currently seeking a BDC Representative to join our Sales Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting with potential customers, supporting the sales team, and helping to create an exceptional guest experience. This position involves managing inbound and outbound communications, generating showroom appointments, and ensuring seamless follow-up to maximize opportunities and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all sales-related inquiries via phone, email, text, and online channels.
  • Professionally and promptly respond to customer inquiries, providing product information and support.
  • Generate qualified sales appointments for the dealership through proactive outbound calls, emails, and lead follow-up.
  • Confirm, reschedule, and follow up on all sales appointments to maximize attendance.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth customer hand-off and consistent guest experience.
  • Maintain and update customer records in the CRM / data management system.
  • Track and fairly distribute all sales leads to appropriate consultants.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and communications with customers who visited but did not purchase, as well as past customers, to identify new opportunities.
  • Create and filter customer retention lists to identify repeat or referral sales opportunities.
  • Present product information and promotions in a clear, engaging manner.
  • Address and overcome customer objections with professionalism.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales appointment and lead conversion goals.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or BDC Manager.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and phone).
  • Sales or call centre experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools or automotive software (TMS, AutoAlert, CDK, DealerSocket, VinSolutions, etc.) is an asset.
  • Strong ability to multitask and work across multiple platforms / programs.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
  • Automotive knowledge is an asset but not required.
  • 1–2 years of customer service, call centre, or sales experience preferred.
