Job Description

Based in Eurofins BPT Toronto, your role involves preparing quotations for clients, which are then presented to Business Development or Senior Management for submission.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

1. Organize, prioritize, and deliver accurate quotations to clients in a timely manner.
2. Determine testing requirements through collaboration with Business Development Managers, senior management, lab personnel, and clients to generate cost-effective recommendations.
3. Assist in planning and organizing client requests.
4. Respond to inquiries regarding testing/projects being quoted.
5. Follow up on open or outstanding quotations with the senior BD team.
6. Maintain and update client records and interactions regarding quotations.
7. Improve quotation processes using technological tools like CRM, CLO, CLQ, and eLIMS.
8. Support other departmental tasks as assigned by management.
9. Review scientific methods before preparing quotations.
10. Ensure communication with clients and laboratory personnel to start and execute projects on time.
11. Coordinate project schedules with laboratory teams.
12. Update pricing schedules for client discounts regularly.
13. Assist with ordering lab consumables as needed.
14. Update client information in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365).

Qualifications

1. University degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or related scientific discipline, or a College Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
2. At least two years of experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory (preferable).
3. Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
4. Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
5. Self-motivated and resourceful.
6. Familiarity with analytical testing procedures (USP, EP, BP, JP, etc.).
7. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and similar programs.
8. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
9. Flexibility to perform other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

This role involves working in an office within a laboratory environment, requiring some light lifting, administrative tasks, and potential shift work including evenings and weekends.
