Job summary

Community Futures Greenstone in Flin Flon, MB is seeking a Business Development Advisor to help local businesses grow. The role is hybrid, with responsibilities including responding to enquiries, preparing funding applications, and providing planning and startup advice for new ventures.

You will analyze financial records, develop funding strategies, and ensure licenses and policies are in place, while delivering clear reports and consulting with clients to promote growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Respond to enquiries from members of the business community concerning development opportunities
  • Conduct analytical marketing studies
  • Prepare funding applications
  • Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses.
  • Ensure appropriate business/commercial licenses are in place
  • Establish policies and procedures for assessing credit and loan applications
  • Complete credit and loan documentation
  • Collect and analyze financial records of a business, such as financial statements, budgets, projections and sales data
  • Prepare reports
  • Develop financial plans for clients
  • Research and evaluate loan applicant's financial status, references, credit and ability to repay loan
