Overview:
The Business Decision Support Professional facilitates complex decision-making in support of the design and implementation of business change or improvement initiatives. The Business Decision Support Professional is most likely an expert in business, specializing in a particular field such as Risk Management, Policy Advisory, Strategic Planning, Business Process Improvement, or Business Transformation.

What you will be doing:

  • Translate business insights into strategic, actionable options by obtaining and organizing key business information, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate decision-making across diverse groups of stakeholders by using excellent skills in communication, critical thinking, and persuasive influencing to deliver recommendations that align to the business goals.
  • Maintain meaningful business relationships by prioritizing strategic considerations in a complex environment with diverse groups of stakeholders so that projects are implemented as planned.
  • Plan and organize business initiatives by using knowledge in business drivers, risk tolerance, and trade-off processes, to enable successful integration and adoption in the company’s complex and regulated environment.
  • Deliver recommendations based on an analysis of business processes and user needs, enabling informed decision-making in support of the overall business strategy.
  • Identify business process efficiencies and opportunities by using advanced analytical and modeling skills, focusing on detail and accuracy to deliver recommendations that align to the business goals.
  • Help managers understand business data and trends by creating relevant reports and easy to use tools that effectively communicate complex information to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders through regular reporting and communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, enabling timely progression of projects.
  • Continuously improve the business analysis process by recommending more efficient reports and tools to translate complex information into a better understandable format.
  • Provide advice to the acquiring manager by translating business insights into actionable options to help deliver quality projects safely on scope, on time, and budget.

What you must have:

  • A minimum eight (8) years of strategic business analysis experience or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Extensive working knowledge of data analysis, querying large amounts of data in SAS and SQL Server, VBA, and visualization programs, including Tableau, Power BI.
  • Advanced English skills for a professional environment, written and spoken.

Salary/Rate Range: $49.00 – $60.00 per hour

Term: 12-month contract; most likely to extend.
