Overview
Location Address: Hybrid - 40 King Street West, 13th Floor, Toronto, ON – 3 days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – subject to change)
Contract Duration: ASAP to end of March, approx 4.5 months
Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week
Story Behind the Need
Business group: Data Strategy & Governance - Provides customer insights, data, and analytics for commercial banking.
Project: Multiple projects – data governance, CRM, data hygiene projects - Data issues that require looking for root cause and resolving issues, need to clean up issues and then find root cause and resolve with application owners

Typical Day in Role
- Performs the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.
- Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
- Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers. Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
- Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Supports one or more highly complex business processes.
- Works on multiple projects as a project team member.
- Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Working on CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Creating, managing, and analyzing surveys
- Performing data analysis using SQL and Excel to profile data and identify data inconsistencies.
- Using PowerBI for visualizing insights
- Conducting root cause analysis and business documentation to track issues
- Working across business, data and IT stakeholders
Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with demonstrated experience conducting root cause analysis and creating business documentation to track issues
- 3-5 years data analysis experience using SQL and Excel to profile data and identify data inconsistencies.
- Demonstrated experience creating, managing, and analyzing surveys
- 3-5 years’ experience with PowerBI for visualizing insights
Nice-To-Have Skills
- 2-3 years hands-on experience with this CRM platform strongly preferred: Salesforce
- Working across multiple teams and stakeholders (business, data and IT)
- Experience with MDM (master data management) tools
- Experience with building data solutions and gathering requirements for those types of projects
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Best vs. Average Candidate
Ideal candidate has strong SQL and data experience, able to speak to the technical pieces (specifically with data and applications); recent Salesforce experience will set them apart.
