Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Business Controller.
  • Sound understanding of accounting practices.
  • Experience working in both a customer center and product center considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts payable, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems.
  • Prepare financial and management reports and present findings to senior management.

Skills

Accounting practices (FAM, IFRS, GAAP)
ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Power BI
Bilingual in English & French

Education

Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Economics, etc.

Job description

Your role

As a Business Controller, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, steering the organization's accounting functions and empowering strategic financial decisions through precise and timely reporting. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll contribute significantly to our overall success.

You will

  • Oversee accounts payable, cost accounting, and financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems
  • Prepare financial and management reports and present findings to senior management
  • Analyze and interpret financial trends requiring management's attention

  • You have 5+ years of experience working as a Business Controller
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (Business Administration, Economics, etc.) or a similar academic background
  • Sound understanding of accounting practices (FAM, IFRS, and GAAP) with the capacity to develop an understanding of Medical Gas products, markets, and sales processes within the regulatory framework established with FAM
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Fully comfortable working with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Power BI
  • Bilingual in English & French considered an asset
  • Experience working in both a customer center and product center considered an asset
  • Experience working with construction accounting considered an asset
