We provide business management resources, technology, and services to help our members grow and succeed. Our network includes over 600 practices and 1300 Eye Care Professionals nationwide, emphasizing integrity, innovation, and collaboration.

We are seeking an energetic, self-starting, entrepreneurial Business Coach to support the Ontario East region, from Toronto to Ottawa. The ideal candidate will reside in the eastern GTA area.

Reporting to the Business Coach Manager, the Business Coach will work directly with members, fostering relationships based on collaborative coaching. They will provide business expertise, retail solutions, and consulting resources to help practices achieve their goals. The role involves connecting with practice owners and office managers to identify needs, assess solutions, and facilitate the delivery of tools, resources, training, and programs to ensure practice success. Additionally, the Business Coach will assist in recruiting prospective members and guiding new members through the onboarding process.

The Business Coach serves as a vital link between members and the organization, leveraging Eye Recommend's resources to enhance members' financial well-being and leadership capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities :

1. Provide business coaching to improve members' performance and lifestyle.
2. Assist owners in understanding their business holistically and provide candid feedback.
3. Develop and monitor budgets and business plans for members.
4. Proactively seek ways to add value to members.
5. Communicate Eye Recommend's message and programs effectively.
6. Gather feedback from members on their needs and concerns.
7. Identify and encourage like-minded practices to join our network.
8. Align members with the organization's strategic direction.
9. Assess the organizational structure of each practice for effectiveness.
10. Manage member application and startup processes.
11. Operate within budget guidelines.
12. Continuously improve organizational processes.
13. Contribute to the development and delivery of Eye Recommend programs and training.
14. Participate in Eye Recommend events and meetings, providing support and liaising with members.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience :

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years management experience in the eyecare industry, preferably overseeing multiple clinics or regional management roles.
3. At least 5 years of experience in business coaching or advisory roles.
4. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
5. Effective leadership with a focus on mentoring and motivating members.
6. Analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
7. Proven problem-solving abilities for complex member issues.
8. Calmness and poise in urgent situations.
9. Ability to initiate and lead positive change.
10. Residence within the designated territory is required.
