Job summary

BuzzClan is seeking a senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join on a 6+ month contract (potential extension up to 24 months) in Winnipeg, Canada. You will design, develop, customize, and maintain BC applications and extensions using AL and VS Code.

Ideally you have 3+ years hands-on BC/NAV experience, expertise with REST APIs, OData, and integrations, plus strong knowledge of AL, Git/Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines in SaaS environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
• Recent hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and AL extensions.
• Strong proficiency in AL programming language and Business Central extension development.
• Experience designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining Business Central applications, extensions, pages, reports, tables, code units, workflows, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of Business Central architecture, configuration, deployment models, and SaaS environments.
• Hands-on experience with Business Central integrations, including REST APIs, web services, API pages/queries, OData V4, JSON, XML, and integration frameworks.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft Entra ID for secure application and API integration.
• Experience integrating Business Central with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure services, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong experience with Visual Studio Code for AL development and Business Central extension development.
• Experience with RDLC reports and Word layouts for Business Central reporting.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps source control and development practices.
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines for Business Central development and deployments.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and database concepts.
• Experience with debugging, testing, performance optimization, and troubleshooting Business Central applications.
• Experience participating in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Experience supporting data migration and system upgrades from legacy ERP platforms or previous Dynamics versions.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical Business Central solutions while collaborating with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure cloud integrations.

• Experience with multi-company or multi-tenant Business Central deployments.
• Knowledge of ERP business processes including Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• MB-820: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate certification.
• Additional Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 or Azure.
• Experience with code reviews, development standards, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
