Job Description: Responsibilities:
- Manage a remote team of Field Nurses within an assigned geographical territory.
- Achieve Key Performance Indicators for clinic and nursing operations, including budget and expense controls.
- Monitor demand for clinic and nursing services to ensure adequate resource availability to meet customer and patient care needs within the region.
- Maintain high standards through audits of clinics and nursing, including protocols and on-site visits.
- Manage clinic growth opportunities, including site identification and establishing new clinics.
- Review reports related to field nurse staff training and ensure compliance.
- Continuously review and manage the availability of staff candidates to meet the needs within the IBU.
- Collaborate with Scheduling Associates to ensure efficient appointment scheduling aligned with KPIs (6 hrs/wk).
- Be available to cover emergency excursions, sick/emergency calls, and clinical questions with support from the regional team as necessary.
- Communicate and implement all program and departmental policies and protocols at the IBU level.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints according to Innomar policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships within the assigned territory.
- Interview and manage onboarding and orientation of new staff, ensuring adequate resourcing for new program launches.
- Conduct ongoing performance management, including annual reviews, objective setting, and training planning, and maintain the HRIS system.
- Ensure quarterly reviews of nursing staff within the IBU to verify adherence to policies and procedures.
- Analyze, plan, and implement process improvements to enhance utilization and efficiency.
- Ensure program requirements are met concerning processes and documentation.
- Ensure nurses work according to Provincial College of Nurses' standards, including maintaining annual licensing.
- Verify all nurses are certified as RN or RPN/LPN as per requirements.
- Travel throughout the territory for clinic visits, audits, and management meetings.
- Prepare and present Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Coordinate clinic visits and tours.
- Participate in teleconferences and web-based meetings for collaboration and information sharing.
- Occasionally provide specialized infusion/injection therapies and nursing services in outpatient clinics or homecare, as needed.
20% (Estimated) KOL:
- Execute key deliverables to maximize nursing operational imperatives.
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with KOL partners.
15% (Estimated):
- Liaise with Managers, Field Case Managers, Senior Managers, and Directors to ensure seamless service delivery and program execution.
5% (Estimated) Administrative, Training, Corporate Activities:
- Organize and coordinate training for new Field Nurses.
- Support Field Nurses with concerns related to nursing, payroll, vacation, and scheduling.
- Review nurse timesheets and expenses for accuracy.
- Complete incident reports and CAPAs as per policy.
- Ensure continuous quality improvement and compliance with audits related to OCC/QA standards.
- Perform related duties as required.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare operations.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
- BScN/equivalent or working towards it.
- Registration with the College of Nurses in the province of employment.
- CVAA certification is an asset.
- BCLS/CPR required; ACLS optional/as needed.
- Minimum 5-7 years nursing experience.
- 2-5 years of management or remote team experience is an asset.
- Leadership experience of 2-5+ years.
- Experience in nurse training & education.
- Experience with the biotechnical/pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Strong operational skills, including workflows and resource optimization.
- Knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and P&L management is an asset.
- Proven leadership and change management skills.
- Business acumen and experience with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) are highly desirable.
