Job summary

MNP, a leading Canadian accounting and advisory firm, invites you to join its Solution Delivery team as a Business Applications Specialist in Calgary. You will partner with business and IT stakeholders to implement cloud-based SaaS solutions for accounting and payroll processes, while guiding change and ensuring successful adoption across user groups.

You will develop training materials, maintain robust documentation, and manage vendor relationships to ensure compliant licensing and smooth

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of business processes in financial services, bookkeeping, and payroll; translate needs into tech solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based SaaS for accounting/financial management.
• Skilled at managing stakeholder expectations with a customer mindset.
• Project management experience delivering technology solutions across multiple service lines.
• Excellent communication for internal communications and training.
• Experience developing training programs and maintaining knowledge resources.
• Understanding of change management and guiding teams through tech adoption.
• Experience managing software licensing, compliance, and audits.
• Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (ITIL) and software development concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to plan priorities for requests, releases, and changes.
• Manage and execute portfolio projects and transition processes to ongoing operations.
• Support software licensing, reporting and contract management for efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, business stakeholders, and IT teams to support organizational objectives
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, resolve critical issues, and drive effective technology solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge resources, and issue tracking to ensure effective support and service delivery
• Coordinate and deliver system updates, training sessions, communications, and change management activities to support user adoption
• Identify opportunities for automation, integrations, and process improvements
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends, and vendor product roadmaps to support continuous improvement
• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to plan and prioritize project requests, releases, and system changes
• Manage and execute operational projects within the portfolio and support the transition of process ownership from implementation to ongoing operations
• Support the effective management of software licensing, reporting, and vendor contracts to ensure operational efficiency and compliance

Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of business processes, financial services, bookkeeping, and payroll, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Proven experience with cloud-based applications and SaaS for accounting and financial management
• Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations with strong customer mindset
• Project management exposure in delivering technology solutions across multiple service lines
• Excellent communication skills for creating clear, engaging content for internal communications and training
• Experience in developing training programs, conducting sessions, and knowledge base oversight
• Understanding of change management and leading teams through technology and process adoption
• Experience managing software licensing, ensuring compliance, and conducting audits
• Familiarity with software development, Agile methodologies, and ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) would be an asset
• Experience with ServiceNow is an asset
