At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialize in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimize operational efficiency. In Workday Adaptive Planning, you will focus on providing consulting services for workforce and financial planning solutions. You will analyze client requirements, implement software solutions, and offer training and support for seamless integration and utilization of Adaptive Planning. This role enables clients to optimize FP&A processes, improve reporting, and achieve their strategic objectives.

As a Workday consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide a broad range of consulting services across various Workday applications. Your responsibilities include analyzing client needs, implementing software solutions, and supporting effective utilization of Workday applications to help clients enhance operational efficiency and meet strategic goals.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Business Application Consulting, Workday Finance and Adaptive Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Analyzing and identifying linkages and interactions within entire systems.
  2. Owning projects, ensuring successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.
  3. Partnering with leadership to ensure quality, timelines, and deliverables.
  4. Developing new skills and encouraging team development.
  5. Mentoring team members and reviewing work to deepen expertise.
  6. Addressing conflicts and engaging in difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders.
  7. Analyzing financial, workforce planning, and reporting processes for improvements.
  8. Simplifying complex processes to improve reliability and reduce costs and cycle times.
  9. Managing client engagement, including meetings, documentation, and project economics.
  10. Learning and performing in system implementations, configurations, and deliverables.
  11. Contributing to innovation initiatives supporting finance modernization.
  12. Utilizing tools like Microsoft Office, data analysis, visualization, and multilingual communication.

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with 6+ years of experience.
  • Experience with EPM systems like Adaptive Planning, Oracle, IBM Cognos, Anaplan, OneStream, Vena, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday/Adaptive implementations.
  • Interest in digital tools and trends, with a willingness to learn.
  • Consulting experience in finance planning, workforce planning, reporting, and financial consolidation.
  • Understanding of process improvement and financial systems optimization.
  • Upholding professional standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Leadership in strategic planning and managing large teams on complex projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Preferred experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, and Workday.
  • Workday certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.
  • Fluency in French required for Quebec-based roles; an asset elsewhere.

Additional information
