In Workday Adaptive Planning, you will focus on delivering consulting services for workforce and financial planning solutions. Your responsibilities include analyzing client requirements, implementing software solutions, and providing training and support for seamless integration and utilization of Adaptive Planning. This role enables clients to optimize FP&A processes, improve reporting, and achieve strategic objectives.

As a Workday consulting generalist at PwC, you will offer a broad range of consulting services across various Workday applications, assisting clients in understanding their needs, implementing solutions, and supporting effective application utilization. Your versatile knowledge will help clients enhance operational efficiency and meet their strategic goals.

As a Business Application Consulting, Workday Finance and Adaptive Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to resolve business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyzing and identifying linkages and interactions within complex systems.
• Taking ownership of projects, ensuring successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.
• Partnering with team leadership to ensure quality, timelines, and deliverables are met.
• Developing skills beyond your comfort zone and encouraging others to do the same.
• Mentoring team members and reviewing work to deepen expertise.
• Addressing conflicts or issues through difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders, escalating when necessary.
• Analyzing financial planning, workforce planning, and reporting processes to identify improvements.
• Simplifying complex processes to enhance reliability, reduce costs, and cycle times, while managing work streams of complex projects.
• Engaging in client discussions, managing engagements, and preparing clear, accurate documentation.
• Learning and performing in functional and technical areas, including system implementations and configurations.
• Producing deliverables in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across teams, and juggling multiple initiatives.
• Contributing to innovation initiatives to modernize finance functions powered by Workday.
• Utilizing PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), data analysis and visualization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI), and demonstrating fluency in multiple languages to understand and translate client needs into system functionality.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

• A degree in accounting, finance, operations, or business administration, with 6+ years of experience.
• Experience with EPM systems solutions such as Adaptive Planning, Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud, IBM Cognos TM1, Anaplan, OneStream, Tagetik, Vena is a plus.
• Hands-on experience leading the implementation of Adaptive Planning and Workday Reporting solutions.
• An interest in upskilling in digital tools and technology trends, with openness to learning new tools.
• Consulting experience in finance planning & analysis, workforce and skills planning, reporting, and financial consolidation (preferred).
• Understanding of process improvement, chart of accounts management, and financial systems optimization.
• Adherence to professional standards and the firm’s code of conduct.
• Ability to guide teams in strategic planning, manage large teams on complex projects, and demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP solutions like Workday, SAP, Oracle (preferred).
• Workday certifications (Pro or Reporting) are a plus.
• Travel up to 20% depending on client needs.
• Fluency in French required for Quebec-based roles; asset outside Quebec.

Additional Information

The salary range for this position in BC is $103,000 - $137,400 - $171,800 CAD annually, plus potential bonuses. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and location.
