What is the opportunity (PURPOSE) : Data Content team is looking for a highly skilled analyst to join the team. The analyst will be part of a team of Data Analyst and Business Analyst with a focus on : documenting lineage by capturing data flows across capital market systems, including associated metadata and transformation to data across data supply chain. He / She will be required to engage with senior Data Architects, IT System Owners, Business Analysts, Data Analyst, Data Stewards, Data Owners to drive the standardization effort across different Lines of Business (LOB’s) and functions (Front Office, Risk IT,Data Management Office ,Operations, Market Risk & Finance etc.) to support data lineage and metadata management process.

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, engineering
  • Microsoft Software Office Skills (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Business Analysis / Data Analysis / Data Modeler experience
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python etc.
  • Good written and oral communication / presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross- functional teams

Preferred :

  • Familiarity with Capital Markets and Financial Services Industry functions and products (e.g., Derivatives, Equities, Commodities ).
  • Knowledge of Banking and Capital Markets Regulations such as CCAR, FRTB, FRB etc .
  • Good understanding of Trade Lifecycle (Pre, Post) and Front to Back functions (Operations, Product Control, Market Risk & Finance)
  • Familiarity with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra.
  • Understanding of front-to-back data flows and processing in Banking and Capital Markets
  • Knowledge of data quality, data management and data governance best practices.

Support the delivery of data requirements supporting regulatory initiatives and programs

Support Data Architecture processes to ensure that Capital Market data is accurate and understood.

What will you do? (PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Document lineage across all system for critical data elements from data origin to data consumption.
  • Analyze system documentation and artifacts to gather metadata for critical data elements and preparation of lineage questionnaire.
  • Collaborate with data custodians and stakeholders in the data supply chain to understand and document lineage in line with data sourcing and delivery strategy.
  • Lead meetings and working sessions with stakeholders to gather metadata for Critical Data Element (CDEs) and preparation of lineage questionnaire.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand data sources, data flows and data transformations
  • Presentation of dataflows to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct data analysis to support business decision, including identifying trends and pattern of data.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and document business requirements and processes.
