Job Title: Business Analyst – Wealth Management

Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 Days in Office / 2 Days Remote

Contract: 6 Months, with potential for ongoing extensions based on performance and business requirements

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Wealth Management experience to support data, trading lifecycle, and technology initiatives within a leading financial services environment.

Candidates with prior RBC or RBC Wealth Management experience are strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Wealth Management data and trading processes, along with hands-on experience in data analysis, data mapping, SQL, technical documentation, and working closely with development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Support Wealth Management data and technology initiatives.
• Analyze Wealth Management data domains, data flows, and mappings.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Understand and document the trading lifecycle and related data processes.
• Create detailed technical and functional documentation for development teams.
• Prepare Functional Requirements and Non-Functional Requirements/Specifications.
• Work closely with developers, QA, business users, and other technology stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support solutions involving batch files, APIs, and Kafka where applicable.
• Manage requirements, issues, and project activities using Jira and Confluence.
• Lead or coordinate small projects and/or project teams.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with business and IT stakeholders and manage competing requirements under tight timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst within Financial Services.
• Hands-on Wealth Management experience.
• Strong understanding of Wealth Management data and trading lifecycle.
• Experience working with data domains and data mapping.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Experience creating technical specifications, functional specifications, and non-functional specifications.
• Experience working closely with development/engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to lead or coordinate a small project/team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous RBC / RBC Wealth Management experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Wealth Management platforms, applications, or data environments.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience working with batch file solutions.
• Experience with REST/API-based solutions.
• Familiarity with Kafka or event-driven architectures.
• Experience working in large banking or financial-services environments.
