Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Business Analyst to help deliver key project initiatives, spanning process design, testing, and implementation. This role collaborates with IT, vendors, Transportation, Distribution, Planning, and Architecture to ensure requirements are clearly defined and feasible.

You will apply supply chain expertise, perform data analysis, support training, and help create business cases and ROI assessments to guide decision-making.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Business Analyst to help deliver key project initiatives, spanning process design, testing, and implementation. Working closely with IT, vendors, the Transportation, Distribution, Planning business, and Architecture partners, this role ensures requirements are clearly defined, aligned, and feasible to implement. This position offers the opportunity to leverage and further develop your expertise in business process improvement, project management, analytics, and cross‑functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Transportation, Operations Planning, Finance, Distribution, and IT to gather requirements and support development, testing, and successful implementation.
  • Apply supply chain expertise to ensure delivered processes and system solutions meet business needs and remain sustainable for front‑line operational teams.
  • Support testing by using documented requirements and user acceptance criteria to confirm system configuration performs as expected.
  • Manage assigned activities in line with enhancement timelines and the agreed‑upon detailed design.
  • Lead implementation activities with impacted stakeholders by providing updates, responding to inquiries, and supporting training delivery (formal and informal).
  • Create and enhance training materials to help end users understand and adopt new processes and technology solutions.
  • Perform data and process analysis to inform insights and support business decision‑making.
  • Leverage automation, analytics, and emerging AI‑enabled solutions to support continuous process improvement.
  • Support the development of business cases, cost‑benefit analyses (CBAs), and ROI assessments for operational and technology initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders across the organization.
What You Bring
  • Self‑motivated problem‑solver who can adjust and re‑prioritize to adapt to fluctuating demands.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast paced, operational environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training content is an asset.
  • Results oriented with attention to detail and accuracy, and a proven track record of delivering against strict deadlines.
  • Some foundational skills in SQL development and enhancements, with solid business and technical acumen.
  • Outcome focused, critical thinker who is confident working in different systems with large amounts of information.
  • Positive and collaborative team player, comfortable making objective decisions as part of a larger team, as well as independently.
  • Experience analyzing large and complex datasets to drive business decisions.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled solutions, automation tools, and advanced analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SQL Studio) is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), or related supply chain technologies is considered an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years in a logistics or supply chain related capacity is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Broadband Salary Range:

$53,000 – $88,000.

Our typical hiring range is between $53,000 and $70,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role‑specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
