Job description

Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Business Analyst for their team for an initial 8-month contract. This role is currently hybrid, requiring 6 days per month in Toronto.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing projects related to Trade Life Cycle support and assisting with the T+1 implementation project.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the Middle Office by ensuring specific goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Providing Trade Life Cycle support, trade administration, onboarding/offboarding, enablement, compliance monitoring, reconciliation oversight, and client services.
  • Identifying, initiating, researching, and developing process solutions across the MO business lines to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with prior solution implementation and process improvement.
  • 3+ years of experience in banking or capital markets operations.
  • Knowledge and experience with process mapping and analysis techniques.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience in SQL, VBA, Access, Excel, and a solid understanding of operational processes.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and interact professionally with a diverse group of Front Office Users, QAs, Developers, and SMEs.
