Your role and responsibilities

ABB is searching for a Business Analyst with expertise in Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll (specifically in Workday + UKG/Kronos) to join as a core member of the HRIT team, part of US Functional Services. This role will deliver Human Resources (HR) service assistance to the HR community, business managers, and employees. You will process complex and escalated HR requests related to Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll technologies. Partner with IS, business partners, vendors, business leaders, and stakeholders to improve and maintain the HCM, Time Tracking, and Payroll systems for operational efficiency. Create detailed requirement specifications, support the system development lifecycle, research system failures, perform root cause analyses, and report findings. Support employees, managers, and HR partners on self-service functionality, troubleshooting, and system support. The work model is ideally hybrid in Cary, NC (#LI-Hybrid), but remote applicants will be considered.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Becoming ABB’s SME in UKG Pro, Workday Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll.
  • Supporting and optimizing HR data systems and processes.
  • Evaluating Workday releases for features and process improvements.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to resolve issues and implement updates.
  • Overseeing data loads and ensuring accurate HR data transfer.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, and HCM.
  • Experience with Kronos/UKGPro.
  • Understanding of payroll data flows and processes.
  • Experience in payroll projects and technical solutions in HR.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Workday certification preferred.
  • Legal work authorization in the US required.
