The Team

As part of the Global Risk Technology team, the Business Analyst is responsible for managing and coordinating IT projects and initiatives to support the Global Risk Management - Counterparty Risk department (GRM-CCR) and Global Banking and Markets (GBM).

The Role

The Business Analyst Specialist ensures that business needs and outcomes of IT projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget. The role requires extensive knowledge in Capital Markets, specifically Market and Counterparty Credit Risk, along with modern technology, project management, and SDLC methodologies. Excellent communication, relationship management, and business skills are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading projects and initiatives, including business case development, testing, release, and post-implementation review.
  2. Maintaining management documents related to costs, timelines, scope, governance, and communication plans.
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders to establish and update the technology roadmap.
  4. Responding to audit and regulatory requests.
  5. Coordinating projects from inception to delivery with various business units and technology teams.
  6. Managing project meetings and ensuring cohesive team operation.
  7. Maintaining project momentum amidst changing priorities.
  8. Communicating project status through reports and escalating issues as needed.
  9. Documenting and archiving project activities for future reference.
  10. Operating independently with minimal supervision.
Skills and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in technology project management, including infrastructure and application development.
  • Experience delivering projects to Risk departments or Capital Markets clients, especially Trading desks.
  • Strong organizational and IT project management skills.
  • Experience with audit and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with risk, front office traders, and technical teams.
  • Proficiency with project tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, etc.
  • Ability to produce reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Understanding of change and resource management.
Preferred Skills
  • Risk certification, CFA, or capital markets education.
  • PMP, Agile, ITIL certifications, or formal project management education.
  • People management experience in IT is a plus.
