Job summary

A leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Business Analyst-Payments to support documentation and requirements. Candidates should have over 10 years of capital markets BA experience and strong knowledge of regulations. This role includes interacting with various stakeholders and producing clear documentation. The position offers a chance to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of recent capital markets BA experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with regulations in business and technology.
  • Good knowledge of cross-jurisdictional rules - (ie. SWIFT ISO).

Our client, a leading financial institution inDowntown Toronto,is looking for aBusiness Analyst-Payments to support the team with documentation and requirements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

  • Read the rules and understand the business requirements
  • Build controls around the solution (process, database solution)
  • Interact with the following stakeholders: Technology, GWO, GTB, and other business stakeholders
  • Conduct/manage working groups to understand the requirements or monitor the progress
  • Present to the team and stakeholders
  • Must have experience using MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Able to produce clear documentation

Must-Have Skills:

  • Good knowledge of cross-jurisdictional rules – (ie. SWIFT ISO)
  • 10+ years of recent capital markets BA experience
  • 5+ years of experience with regulations in business and technology
  • 5+ years of knowledge on the capital market, as the regulation will require knowledge of capital market and the settlement system flow of the bank.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience working as a leader of a working group/team.

Soft Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with high-ranking individuals
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instructions or oversight

  • Post-secondary education
