Job summary

PLATO, Canada’s leading Indigenous-owned software testing and technology services company, seeks a Business Analyst for the Data team. You will bridge business stakeholders with the delivery team, gathering requirements and translating needs into actionable data specifications.

You will work with Data Engineers and the Product Owner to validate data solutions. Oracle SQL reading and interpretation are essential; you will support requirements definition and ensure data quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Requirements Analysis.
• Proficient in Oracle SQL and data interpretation.
• Experience with product development processes.

• Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications that can be consumed by the Data Engineering team.

Job Description

As a Business Analyst on the Data team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team. Your day-to-day activities will include gathering and documenting requirements, translating business needs into actionable data specifications, and ensuring delivered solutions align with stakeholder expectations.

You will work closely with Data Engineers and the Product Owner to validate that data solutions meet business requirements. A working knowledge of Oracle SQL is expected — you do not need to build pipelines, but you must be comfortable reading and interpreting data to validate outputs and support requirements definition.

Beginner proficiency in Oracle SQL and Product Development is required. Intermediate proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis is required.
