Job summary

Linamar Corporation in Guelph, Ontario is hiring a Junior Business Analyst for ERP (Operations/Materials). The role focuses on business analysis, process documentation, and supporting new ERP deployments.

The position requires 1–3 years of related experience, strong documentation skills, and ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences. Travel of up to 60% for implementation phases is expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one to three years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and business/finance applications including ERPs, forecasting and consolidations, and RPA applications.
  • Excellent documentation skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate on technical and non-technical levels depending on audience.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel 26%-60% for implementations (3–4 weeks at a time).
  • In-office position in Guelph, ON; 3–5 days per week as required; 100% in-office during implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares functional process charts to analyze business operations.
  • Assists in designing or modifying practical manual and automated business procedures.

  • Assists in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new business applications and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define standards and goals, and resolve issues.
  • Assist in cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed systems to aid decisions.
  • Coordinate QA testing for modified and new systems.
  • Research hardware/software products to justify recommendations and support purchasing.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for modified and new systems.
  • Meet with internal clients to discuss project activities, specs, current practices, growth plans, regulatory/reporting requirements, and security risks.

Job Title: Business Analyst, Junior - ERP (Operations/Materials)
Job Summary

The Junior Business Analyst position is responsible for performing extensive scope business analysis workincluding workflow analysis, business information requirements, and models.

Responsibility
  • Prepares functional process charts to analyze business operations.
  • Assists in designing or modifying practical manual and automated business procedures.
  • Assists with the design of business processes and documentation.
  • Assists in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new business applications and enhancements to existing business applications.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business standards and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Assists in performing cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Work with QA team to coordinate and perform in-depth tests, for modified and new systems.
  • Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Meet with internal clients to discuss topics such as project activities, technical specifications, current business practices, growth plans, regulatory and reporting requirements, and security risks.
Academic/Educational Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education in Materials Management, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
  • PMI CAPM and PMP certification are assets.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Minimum one to three years of related work experience.

  • 26%-60% International travel for implementations which will usually consist of 3-4 weeks of travel at a time.
