Job Description:

  1. Perform the role of a Business Analyst at least of 80 % of the time and may be required to perform also the role of a Project Manager on certain projects.
  2. Liaise with Finance, Risk, IT and Business users and representatives to understand needs, collect requirements (user, system, function, etc.) and prepare deliverables such as Business Requirement Documents, Functional Specifications Documents, Test Documents, Project Schedules, etc.
  3. Implement accounting rules/schemas and required controls for various financial products for prime brokerage/broker dealer, corporate finance, ALM Treasury, Forex, etc.
  4. Build and implement interfaces/feeds from operating systems down to the ledger along with various controls to ensure high quality business and accounting data.
  5. Build and implement interfaces/feeds from the ledger downstream to other systems for the production of various reports: financial, risk, regulatory, management, etc. along with the controls to satisfy the quality requirements and established SLAs.
  6. Contributes to preliminary studies in liaison with the business line.
  7. Helps, where appropriate, to monitor the portfolio and prioritize requests within the scope of activity.
  8. Clarifies, performs critical and constructive analysis and, where appropriate, compares the business line’s needs against the entity’s strategic plan.
  9. Ensures that the solution meets the requirements set out to cover the business line’s needs.
  10. Formalizes the expression of need and ensures it is approved by the business line.
  11. Defines, formalizes and obtains approval of the requirements set out to cover the expression of need in collaboration with the contributors involved, in accordance with the entity’s practices.
  12. Carries out or helps with the test activities within the functional scope.
  13. Supports the business line in carrying out user tests.
  14. Contributes, in conjunction with the business line, to change management and roll out for the end customer.
  15. Helps to identify business line impacts generated by the solution and with the development of action plans.
  16. Acts as the contact person within the project and/or maintenance teams and for the business line in relation to data and functional aspects.
  17. Shares knowledge about the area of expertise and provides functional support.
  18. Carries out reporting in accordance with the operating rules and practices defined for the scope.
  19. Helps with the coordination of user communities.
  20. Build partnerships with assigned development and stakeholder teams.
  21. Manage projects through entire project lifecycle from feasibility study to delivery.

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or relevant Master degree in business, accounting or information technology (or international equivalent).
  2. Qualified accountant or other relevant professional qualification with background in accounting.
  3. 5 years of experience as a business analyst with proven experience in writing Requirements (Business, Functional, Technical, etc.), Use/Test Cases, Test Plans and other project deliverables.
  4. Knowledge on the Corporate Investment Banking products, Accounting and Financial and Regulatory Reporting Systems, Underlying Processes and Technology.
  5. Experience with data analytics tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.
  6. Strong analytical, management and problem solving skills.
  7. Proven organizational skills with excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  8. Commitment to project deadlines, sense of drive and urgency.
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate and relate easily with IT, Finance users and back office managers; and who can influence and align people to a common vision.
  10. Demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity, conduct and compliance culture.
