A leading government entity in Northwest Territories is seeking a Business Analyst to enhance system usability and ensure data integrity within the Continuing Care Information System. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize processes, support implementation of technology projects, and improve service delivery. The Department of Health and Social Services works under the direction of the Minister and Deputy Minister, in partnership with the Health and Social Services Authorities, to support the health and wellbeing of people across the NWT through planning, development, evaluation and reporting on program and service delivery.

The Business Analyst collaborates closely with these groups to support system sustainment, optimize business processes, and ensure data integrity, working to enhance system usability, workflow efficiency, quality assurance and reporting accuracy. By collaborating with Health and Social Services system stakeholders, policymakers, Information Technology (IT) teams, and service providers, the incumbent ensures that implemented solutions meet documented business requirements and contributes to improved service delivery, data accuracy, and decision-making. The position plays a key role in supporting system sustainment efforts, optimizing reporting structures, and ensuring that interRAI and Continuing Care Information System (CCIS) solutions deliver anticipated qualitative and quantitative benefits.
Typically attained by:
A degree in health informatics, health administration, clinical health sciences, computer science, information systems, business, or a related field and three (3) years of relevant experience including one (1) year of experience supporting the implementation, evaluation or sustainment of technology-enabled projects.
-A Master's degree in health informatics, health administration, clinical health sciences, computer science, information systems, business, or a related field and one (1) year of relevant experience including one (1) year of experience supporting the implementation, evaluation or sustainment of technology-enabled projects.
-A diploma in health informatics, health administration, clinical health sciences, computer science, information systems, business, or a related field and five (5) years of relevant experience including one (1) year of experience supporting the implementation, evaluation or sustainment of technology-enabled projects.
