We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Structured Notes Operations to join our client’s Capital Markets operations team in Toronto. This hybrid opportunity offers the chance to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team supporting structured notes processing for one of Canada’s top-tier banking institutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in validating, settling, and reconciling equity structured notes, with exposure to various projects and process enhancements.

This is a hybrid role in Downtown Toronto - 6-month contract with possibility for extension or conversion to permanent position.

Responsibilities

1. Execute timely and accurate validation, settlement, and reconciliation of equity structured notes.
2. Provide analytical support for business-as-usual (BAU) activities and small-scale projects.
3. Identify key operational and process issues and offer effective solutions.
4. Assist in the execution of policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
5. Monitor service delivery, ensuring alignment with SLAs and regulatory requirements.
6. Contribute to audit reviews, testing, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
7. Collaborate across departments to support broader initiatives and service excellence.
8. Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.
9. Exercise sound judgment in handling confidential information and sensitive data.

Qualifications
Must Have:

1. Post-secondary education (college diploma or undergraduate degree).
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in Capital Markets.
3. Hands-on experience with structured notes and OTC derivatives.
4. Proficient in MS Office applications.
5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with equity derivatives.
2. Additional certifications or relevant continuing education are considered an asset.
