Job summary

Intact is seeking a Business Analyst II, OPL in a hybrid role near Mississauga. You will handle day-to-day system referrals, coordinate with regional teams, and drive system enhancements for personal insurance platforms.

Strong analytical skills, 3+ years’ BA experience, and knowledge of claims tools are required. You will collaborate across IT and business units, test changes, and contribute to the production-support function.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as Business Analyst.
  • Experience with Claims tools/processes (Contact Claims and Contact 360).
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Experience in production support.
  • Strong ability to investigate and analyse problems of a technical nature.
  • Able to adapt to change and work autonomously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Auto & Home insurance is an asset.
  • Eligible to work in Canada; bilingual in Quebec if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor trends to identify opportunities for user training and system changes and enhancements.
  • Act as liaison between users, IT and other departments as required.
  • Test system changes.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for personal insurance systems.
  • Consult on system functionality and advise on business requirements.
  • Support analysis of changes to existing systems (Bug fixes).
  • Perform other duties related to production support as assigned.

Salary Range (but Not Limited To)

74,800 - 91,400

Annual Bonus Target, Based On The Base Salary, With a Potential Payout Of Up To Double The Target (subject To Personal And Company Performance)

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Business Analyst II, OPL, to join our growing team!

What You’ll Do Here
  • Handle and resolve day-to-day system referrals from users in a timely fashion
  • Meet regularly with regional teams to review ongoing system issues
  • Monitor trends to identify opportunities for user training and system changes and enhancements
  • Act as the liaison between users, IT and other departments as required
  • Test system changes
  • Act as a subject matter expert for personal insurance systems
  • Consult on system functionality
  • Support in the analysis of business requirements for changes existing systems (Bug Fixes)
  • Perform any other duties relating to production support as assigned by your manager.
What You Bring To The Table
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as Business Analyst
  • Demonstrated Experience with Claims tools/processes (Contact Claims and Contact 360)
  • Project management experience, an asset
  • Experience in production support
  • Strong ability to investigate and analyse problems of a technical nature
  • Demonstrated ability to cope with change effectively.
  • Have initiative and is autonomous.
  • Skills for time and priority management.
  • Ability to manage multiple files at the same time.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of the Auto & Home insurance industry (asset).
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
