Job description

Live Assets | IT Staffing Solutions is hiring a Business Analyst – Healthcare for one of its clients. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and improving healthcare and business workflows to enhance operational effectiveness, quality, and service delivery. Using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, this role supports the organization’s efforts to embed efficiency and resilience into core processes. The Business Analyst will also contribute to translating operational workflows into requirements that inform future systems, tools, and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current-state business and clinical workflows to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and quality risks.
  • Develop accurate, user-informed future-state workflows that support efficiency, service quality, and sustainability.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive measurable improvements in process performance.
  • Embed quality control points and operational standards within workflow designs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional sessions to gather insights, align processes, and support change readiness.
  • Prepare clear, standardized documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and improvement recommendations.
  • Influence stakeholders and negotiate consensus to support implementation of revised workflows.
  • Maintain a current repository of workflow documentation and track changes over time.
  • Support the operationalization of organizational strategies by helping translate workflows into requirements that may inform future scheduling, finance, or enterprise processes.

Necessary Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, operational effectiveness, or process improvement in healthcare or similarly complex environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt preferred).
  • Experience documenting end-to-end business workflows and developing process documentation.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations, particularly in long-term care, community health, or regulated healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with quality and accreditation frameworks (e.g., Accreditation Canada, LEAN Healthcare) is preferred.
