People Corporation has been growing across Canada since 2006, acquiring numerous companies and expanding its workforce to over 1000 employees. Technology Solutions play a critical role in this growth, and we are expanding our architecture team with a Solution Architect.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will oversee the functional and non-functional requirements solicitation and management process. You will use facilitation, interviewing, and communication techniques to extract business needs and work closely with Solution Architects to realize these requirements through solution design.

Your responsibilities include process, data, and systems analysis. You should possess or quickly develop expertise in both Business and Technology domains. You will facilitate requirements sessions and ensure business needs are accurately reflected in deliverables.

You are expected to:

1. Liaise with stakeholders to understand industry trends and business priorities.
2. Define, document, and communicate system and business requirements clearly.
3. Facilitate requirements gathering workshops.
4. Analyze and conceptualize solutions with architects, vendors, developers, and QA teams.
5. Represent business and technical domains in design sessions.
6. Perform gap analysis on current and future states.
7. Identify and manage stakeholders.
8. Develop and execute test strategies, cases, and support UAT testing.
9. Create transition and support documentation.
10. Lead process improvements and develop process diagrams.
11. Follow enterprise standards and maintain knowledge of current system practices.
12. Create interface mapping and specifications for developers.
13. Mentor fellow Business Systems Analysts.

Qualifications

• Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Management.
• 5+ years in a Systems, Solution, or Business Systems Analyst role.
• Technical expertise in API requirements, data models, data handling, and segmentation techniques.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills.
• 2+ years experience in agile, scrum, and continuous delivery practices.
• Experience supporting and testing enterprise applications and interfaces.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and scripting or programming languages is an asset.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work independently or in teams.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, changing environments.
• Knowledge of API development and Group Benefits insurance is an asset.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
