On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Business Analyst to join our Client's team on a Contract basis. This role is Remoteand the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.
Summary of the Role
The Business Analyst will support the selection of enterprise systems for inventory and ticketing within a higher education environment. The role is focused exclusively on the evaluation and recommendation phase, engaging stakeholders and delivering actionable recommendations for two key operational systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct stakeholder interviews and process reviews related to inventory and ticketing operations.
Identify and document functional and technical requirements for a centralized stores management software and an IT ticketing system.
Evaluate the suitability of the current ticketing system for broader deployment.
Research and compare alternative software solutions for both operational areas.
Prepare and present a business case or evaluation report with recommendations to the strategic initiatives team.
Core Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise software evaluation and requirements gathering.
Demonstrated experience in a post-secondary or complex public sector environment.
Proven ability to document current state processes and propose future state solutions.
Experience consulting stakeholders across multiple functional areas (e.g., Finance, HR, IT).
Availability to start within 2 weeks of contract award.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with procurement or inventory management workflows.
Familiarity with academic institution ticketing systems.
Background in integrating software solutions with shared service models.
Knowledge of systems and organizational structure.
Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
Terms
This is a 9-weekcontract position with a remote work arrangement. The successful candidate must complete reference checks prior to an offer being extended.
