Position Title: Business Analyst- Analytics Lead, Digital Experience Platform
Status: FT Admin Temporary, until December 2025
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Information Technology Services
Campus/Location: North Campus; Hybrid model (a mix of home and in-office workdays)
Salary: $95,910.00; starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.

About the Business Analyst- Analytics Lead Role:
To support continued platform development and site migration, the DXP team is seeking a Business Analyst - Analytics Lead. This position will play a vital role in supporting the DXP solution by supporting comprehensive evaluation of data analytics, audience behaviours and web site performance in delivering on desired Humber outcomes. The analytics lead is responsible for guiding and directing all data analysis efforts associated with web sites on the DXP platform. They use captured data to evaluate web experiences, assess conversion rates and behaviours of users interacting with Humber web sites, and evaluate attainment of desired web site performance outcomes.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead all DXP web analytics and reporting efforts evaluating the performance of DXP web sites in delivering desired outcomes for target audiences.
  • Support a data-driven approach to defining success and evaluating the results of tailoring and personalization web interactions.
  • Consult with groups across Humber in defining desired experience and journey outcomes.
  • Identify and formally define experiments to evaluate and test how the delivered web experience can be further refined and optimized.
  • Guide the analysis and review of experimentation results.
  • Support and guide client groups in understanding and interpreting experiment results.
  • Develop reports and presentations to a variety of Humber audiences on overall performance and effectiveness of web sites.

Education
A degree in a Business or Technology discipline.

Experience/Skills
A minimum of five years of experience in business analysis, IT, or digital transformation and a minimum of three years of progressive experience in web analytics and data analysis.

Skills sought in a successful candidate include:

  • Expert understanding of web site analytics and performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of tailoring and personalization of web content.
  • Expert understanding of Google Analytics.
  • Extensive experience in evaluating web interactions.
  • Experience with analytics and tagging strategies for Drupal 10.
  • Knowledge and experience in using VWO Personalization.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Experience with data transformation strategy and tools.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
  • Experience working with large data sets and databases.
  • Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an agile mode of operations.
  • Higher education or public sector experience is highly desirable.
