A staffing agency is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to automate processes within Finance teams. The role involves designing Alteryx workflows and creating visuals in Power BI. Qualifications

Job description

Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: New York Agency – Finance
• Project: Citizen Led Automation – Corporate Interest
• Citizen Led Automation leverages Alteryx and Power BI to solve problems for Finance teams. This role would be someone who is an experienced designer of Alteryx workflows.

Candidate Value Proposition:

• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with users in Product Control to automate process that takes several hours to streamline within minutes.
• The successful candidate will get to enhance their skills with Alteryx and will work on a highly visible project with CFO’s tracking the progress.
• Success on this project can lead to FTE/Management opportunities.

Typical Day in Role:

• Work with Product Control SMEs to understand process.
• Independently build workflows in Alteryx and visuals in Power BI.
• Refine process based on feedback from users and management.
• Work collaboratively with team of Alteryx experts to build skillset.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within FI
• 1+ years of experience as a designer of Alteryx workflows
• 1+ years of experience gathering requirements and applying those requirements to Alteryx build.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Prior experience in Finance teams – Product Control, FP&A, Regulatory Reporting is preferred.
• Experience with user application, MS Access, Excel Macros experience to be considered
• Experience creating dashboards within PowerBi

Soft Skills Required:

• Ability to work independently
• Problem solving
• Analytical thinking

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or similar background

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• The ideal candidate would have strong experience with Alteryx and would have previous finance experience.

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 1-2 rounds (2nd round TBD): 1st interview – HM + Tech Lead – 45 mins – MS Teams Video ( situational + behaviour questions)
• 2nd interview – HM + Director – 30 mins – Teams Video
