Description:

Responsibilities

  • Leading and conducting business analysis at varying levels of detail to assess client’s business problems/opportunities and documenting the assessments.
  • Developing strategies, preparing business cases and cost-benefit analyses, and conducting feasibility studies for business and IT initiatives.
  • Conducting business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
  • Conducting gap analysis of vendor release upgrades to identify necessary changes for business processes, best practices, and solutions including configuration, reports, and integration components.
  • Monitoring progress, resolving issues, and reporting regularly to IT management and client decision-makers.
  • Developing performance measures for business analysis evaluation and conducting follow-up.
  • Acting as a liaison with business clients and data providers.
  • Documenting new requirements and completing analysis and design documentation.
  • Applying industry-standard project management methodologies.
  • Having knowledge and experience with OPS health-related projects.
  • Understanding Ministry policies and IT project approval processes and requirements.
  • Managing large, complex projects.
  • Exercising exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
  • Applying strong listening skills to facilitate issue resolution.
  • Engaging effectively with stakeholders and building strong working relationships.
  • Building rapport with stakeholders and driving negotiations to successful outcomes.
  • Organizing and synthesizing data from various sources into clear, concise summaries.
  • Providing excellent customer service with tact and diplomacy.
  • Being a motivated, flexible, detail-oriented, and creative team player capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Transferring skills and knowledge to OPS staff.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Core Skills and Experience: 40%

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in leading business analysis, applying re-engineering concepts, developing strategies, and conducting feasibility studies for business and IT initiatives.
  • Experience with business modeling, use case modeling, data modeling, process and data flow modeling, and gap analysis.
  • Monitoring progress, resolving issues, and developing performance measures.

Knowledge and Experience: 40%

  • Minimum 5 years in various business projects with troubleshooting and analytical expertise.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, awareness of emerging IT trends, and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Experience translating business requirements into epics, scenarios, and mockups.

General Skills: 15%

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication, troubleshooting, listening, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Customer service skills, motivation, flexibility, and ability to meet deadlines.

Public Sector Experience: 5%

  • Experience with mainframe/legacy systems in the public sector.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.

Must Haves:

  • Business analysis at various levels and documenting requirements for technology solutions.
