Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Consultant to join their team and support key initiatives within their Supervision Portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with business partners to elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements, develop user stories, and establish acceptance criteria. You will also play a vital role in testing software features, supporting user acceptance testing, tracking project milestones, and developing performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science or a related field, a minimum of five years of experience in business analysis, and a proven track record of documenting business requirements with strong attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Azure Services, Dynamics 365 CRM, and process improvement will be considered strong assets. This is a 6 month contract position with a 30 month option to extend.

Hybrid: 2 days a week on-site in Ottawa, 3 days remote.

Candidates must be eligible for Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance (5+ years in Canada).

Responsibilities

1. Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in consultation with business partners to align to their objectives.
2. Test software features against acceptance criteria and document results.
3. Support user acceptance testing and end-user training.
4. Plan and document activities for key milestones and track progress against plan.
5. Support the development and reporting of performance metrics.
6. Other related activities and deliverables, as required.

Qualifications

The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills:

1. University degree or college diploma in computer science or a related field.
2. A minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated work experience in business analysis or a related field.
3. Demonstrated experience in documenting business requirements (functional and non-functional).
4. Demonstrated experience with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

The following will also be considered:

1. Demonstrated ability to organize effectively.
2. Demonstrated experience with process improvement skills.
3. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure Services and Dynamics 365 CRM.
