Job summary

enAVANT is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join the Project Delivery Team to consult with business units in planning and coordinating systems analysis and content migration. The role focuses on gathering user requirements, improving processes, and recommending solution options to clients and colleagues.

You will develop business requirements, translate them into specifications, and lead data modeling and use-case design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business analysis, finance or audit.
• CA, CMA, CISA, CCBA or CBAP designations are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop business requirements definition to be met by new or enhanced IT applications and business processes.
• Develop detailed specifications document from which solutions will be developed, designed, coded and tested.
• Develop and improve business processes and assist with the development of metrics within the technology and business organizations.
• Develop functional and technical documentation on specifications/requirements.
• Design data models and develop use cases.
• Lead analysis by undertaking information gathering and analysis and by eliciting the details of user requirements in discussion with users.
• Assist in project sizing, resource estimates, scope and requirements.
• Participate in the process for prioritizing client requests.
• Make presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Critically evaluate business requirements gathered from multiple sources and identify the underlying business needs.
• Collaborate with others to analyze information needs and functional requirements in order to evaluate the enhancements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

• For this position, you need to have the following experience:
• Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
• Ability to identify problems and deal with situations and issues proactively;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Experience with ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle, Baan, etc), financial consolidation applications (Cognos Controller, Hyperion, etc.) and/or BI concepts;
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology or related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a business analysis, finance or audit capacity;
• CA, CMA, CISA, CCBA or CBAP designations, knowledge of BABOK principles would be an asset;

There may be a requirement to travel to customer sites, in the Americas and globally as the business dictates.
