Description
The Business Analyst in this role will play a critical role in the successful implementation of MedSys within the School of Medicine at the University. This position will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements, as well as supporting the implementation and quality assurance phases of the project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on enterprise-level programs, a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Description Of Services And Deliverables
- Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the project team and key stakeholders to elicit information required to produce BA and Training deliverables as needed.
- Business Requirement Documents
- Process modeling
- Gap Assessment
- Risk Assessment
- Test Plan / Test Case
- Training Plan
- Ensure adherence to the ITIO Methodology, use of our BA standard templates as well as the specific Solution Delivery processes and standards.
- Liaise with the ITIO group for additional guidance on ITIO BA standards.
- Ensure all project documentation and deliverables are stored in the official SharePoint project repository.
- Ensure that project decisions are formally documented as per ITIO Methodology.
- Provide reporting and status updates to the ITIO team as required.
- Ensure compliance with university standards, policies and procedures.

- Perform Gap Analysis
- Work with stakeholders to elicit and prioritize Business, Functional, Non-Functional and Transition Requirements.
- Work with technical and vendor teams to elicit technical requirements.
- Trace all requirements through design, testing and quality assurance.
- Assist in the determination of solutions with associated costs and risks.
- Coordinate requirement and business design approvals/changes.
- 3. Solution Implementation
- Assist technical teams in understanding requirements and business design so that effective technical solutions are implemented.
- Build out people, policy, and process deliverables.
- Transition to operations
- Build Support and Governance models with technical teams.
- 4. Quality Assurance
- Develop test strategy & test plan.
- Test execution and defect tracking.
Required
- 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with experience working on enterprise level programs
- Experience in developing and delivering detailed requirements.
- Familiarity with BA methodologies and tools (Business Requirement Documents, Process Models, Gap Assessments, Risk Assessments, Test Plans/Test Cases and Training Plans)
- Influence and engage all levels of stakeholders and support change.
- Must be:
- flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment and changing situations
- a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
- able to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- Education on Skills
- University degree in Business Administration/Commerce or Computer Science/Information Technology
- Business Analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) *Nice to have
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strategic, critical and analytical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving.
