As the Business Systems Analyst, you will have an opportunity to be involved in all phases of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle, including research, analysis, definition, assessment, testing, health checks, and documentation of detailed business and system design requirements (functional, operational, transitional, informational, and non-functional) for new systems and system enhancements. You will also identify any gaps within current capabilities. To join our team, the incumbent must be proactive and dynamic, demonstrate initiative, have an eagerness to learn, be adaptable to a high-paced environment, and thrive on challenges. Experience with mortgage products is desirable.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  1. Analyze and develop technical requirements based on solution documentation.
  2. Ensure the integrity of business and technical requirements in the end-to-end customer journey.
  3. Drive joint application design solutioning sessions with our architecture, development, and security architecture teams that inform high-level estimates for large and medium-sized incoming initiatives.
  4. Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements and turn them into use cases, user stories, sequence diagrams, cheat sheets, etc., whatever is suitable to meet development and stakeholder needs.
  5. Create, refine, and maintain the product backlog and associated deliverables; release backlog with forecasted delivery timelines.
  6. Bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring common understanding and IT/business alignment of both functional (for business needs) and non-functional requirements (such as reporting, performance, interfaces, and constraints).
  7. Help improve and drive our engineering practices by providing valuable inputs and suggestions on what works well and what can be done better, and by using data to state your case.
  8. Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing information and cooperating with the team.
  9. Demonstrate strong personal values and a commitment to our mission and customers.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
  1. Experience: You have 6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner in a challenging IT system solution environment. You are also an agile and lean evangelist.
  2. Experience in real estate lending or mortgages is an added advantage.
  3. Strong knowledge and skills in working with building APIs and Microservices at scale.
  4. Deep knowledge of agile principles and project management methodologies, with the ability to manage concurrent projects.
  5. The ability to independently resolve complex, multifaceted issues to meet the business needs of our clients.
  6. Engineering background: Ideally, you have an Engineering or Computer Science degree and pride yourself on analysis, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Self-motivated: You do good work, and lots of it; the drive to deliver quality work is just a part of you. You are also able to simplify complex situations and navigate ambiguity.
  8. Communicator/negotiator: You are great at making sure everyone's speaking the same language and are on the same page, and sometimes that involves some give and take.
  9. Lifelong learner: You stay current on the tools and approaches that work best. You are excited about working on new projects because every project is a new learning opportunity.
  10. Team player: You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others so we all become better.
