Tri-County Regional Centre for Education

The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) encompasses the three (3) Counties of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby serving approximately 6100 students in twenty-two (22) schools, composed of 13 Elementary Schools, 6 High Schools, 1 Middle School, and 2 Elementary/High Schools.

CUPE, LOCAL 964

CASUAL BUS DRIVERS are required for the Tri-County Regional Centre of Education. These positions are on call, as needed basis.

The chosen candidates will be provided with the necessary bus drivers training in the upcoming month.

Location: Shelburne County Schools

Required qualifications include:

  • Valid driver’s license (minimum Class 5) with a clear drivers abstract
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all TCRCE Staff
  • Ability to lift 25 kg
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Should be 25 years of age
  • Provide a current Vulnerable Sector & Criminal Record and Child Abuse Checks
  • Proven ability to communicate and work alongside diverse cultural and racial backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to value the voice and contribution of others while remaining open to corrective criticism
  • Completion of WHMIS and First Aid, or willingness to obtain upon hire

Training will be provided to those successful applicants, which initially includes two weeks of classroom instruction.

Salary: As per the CUPE Local 964 Collective Agreement, $24.16/hour.
