The role involves transporting Residents in the residence vehicle to events and activities, assisting with mobility, and providing a safe, caring service aligned with our resident-rights and values. You will work with a dedicated team, maintain a clean driving record (Class F in Ontario), hold CPR/First Aid, and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong written and verbal English skills.
• Must possess a valid and applicable class of drivers license, with a clean driving record (ON - Class F; MB/AB/BC - Class 4).
• Will have proof of current, valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous experience working with seniors is considered an asset.
• Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with residents, families and employees.
• Assist residents with care requirements (walkers/wheelchairs) while entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Transport residents to events and activities.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uphold residents' rights and organization's values and ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
