Job summary

Strathcona County is seeking two hourly bus cleaners to maintain cleanliness and safety of transit buses in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, dusting ledges and operator areas, handling potential bio-hazards, vacuuming seats, washing ceilings/tracks/frames, and ensuring safe chemical usage. Shifts may include evenings or weekends; competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent education with related experience.
• Previous bus cleaning experience would be an asset.
• Ability to perform various types of manual labour, including lifting, standing, and bending.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper usage.
• Ability to develop an understanding of OHS and WHMIS requirements.
• Ability to take initiative and identify potential vehicle and equipment issues.
• Willing to work in a respectful workplace environment.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Strathcona County Bus Cleaners serve an important role by ensuring that Strathcona County Transit buses are clean, safe, and presentable for customers that utilize this service.

This posting is for 2 hourly positions

• Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties and stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Able to work a variety of casual shifts that will include evenings or weekends
