Our Bus Fleet office is seeking a Bus Business Analyst who will identify and clarify business requirements to successfully deploy proper business solutions by acting as a key liaison between business units. The role involves working with business units to identify efficiencies, making recommendations, and supporting senior leaders to advance programs and projects. The analyst will collaborate with the Bus Services Directors, Bus Leadership team, and project teams to support initiatives, including developing requirements, scope, and objectives to meet stakeholder needs and ensure efficient coordination to completion.

What will I be doing

  • Developing a thorough understanding of business goals and strategies, facilitating dialogue between business units and the Bus Business & Strategy team, assisting with prioritization, and advancing programs and projects.
  • Producing documents and plans, supporting services, and creating reports, charts, and presentations using various software applications.
  • Providing support to a team, including initiatives that enhance customer experience and internal operations.
  • Preparing summary documents to support projects and leadership decisions by analyzing data and compiling reports.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of programs and projects related to information technology upgrades to Bus Services systems.
  • Participating in the development, implementation, and review of business processes to improve project management quality and efficiency.
  • Creating and distributing communication materials, acting as a point of contact for feedback and questions.
  • Participating in audits, reviewing procedures, and tracking corrective actions.
  • Fostering collaboration between Bus Services teams and other divisions across Metrolinx.
  • Maintaining operational stability during change and identifying opportunities for new technology, automation, or process streamlining.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need

  • A diploma in business administration or related discipline, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in providing project and/or program business services, ideally in a public sector or unionized environment.
  • A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license is considered an asset.
