Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Canada is seeking a Bulk Truck and Emulsion Plant Operator for a temporary fly-in position. You will load, unload, and deliver bulk products and packaged items, ensuring safe preparation and timely delivery to customers.

This role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of related experience, a Class 3 driver's license, and willingness to work a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule in Meliadine. Prior explosives/mining experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical, commercial driving, or related work experience preferred.
• Class 3 Driver’s License required.
• Previous explosives and/or mining experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and deliver bulk products and packaged items.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations.
• Determine daily product mix and output volume.
• Provide safe operation of fleet and plant equipment.
• Prepare products to contracted specs and conduct quality checks.
• Load blasting holes safely and deliver to blasting patterns.
• Maintain plant and office facilities.

This is a fly in/Fly Out Position located in Meliadine

What You’ll Do

As the Bulk Truck and Emulsion Plant Operator you willl load, unload, and deliver bulk products and packages as required. You are responsible for the safe and reliable preparation and delivery of products (bulk and packaged) to the customer. Other duties will include:

• Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
• Determine the product mix, contract specifications and output volume for the day.
• Provide safe and effective operation of fleet and plant equipment
• Prepare requested product that is consistently mixed and blended within contracted specifications, regularly testing for quality control, and delivering product to the blasting pattern in a safe and timely manner.
• Load blasting holes in a manner which is safe, timely and provides optimum product performance
• Compliance with quality standards for operating the plant, receiving feedstock, blending correct ratios of raw materials, calibrating instruments, maintaining quality control, recording complete and accurate information and delivering product.
• Upkeep and maintain plant and office facilities.
