Job summary

Irving Oil is hiring a Bulk Plant Operator in Dartmouth, Canada. You will oversee inventory balancing, terminal access, and daily operations to ensure safe, reliable performance of the bulk plant.

You will supervise product movements, assist drivers and customers, and maintain end-of-day inventory reports while following safety standards. Requires a high school diploma and 2–5 years in material handling; valid driver’s license and physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform Inventory Stock Balancing and terminal entry tasks.
• Supervise loading/unloading of trucks and rail deliveries.
• Support drivers and customers as needed at the bulk plant.
• Complete daily terminal operations checklist.
• Maintain accurate end-of-day inventory reports.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and climb stairs/ladders safely.

Job description

As a Bulk Plant Operator, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Irving Energy Bulk Plants by looking after inventory stock balancing, terminal access, maintenance and the daily operation tasks assigned to you. Your goal will be to supervise product movement and acting as customer support for Drivers while ensuring a safe and efficient operation of the bulk plant facility. Your success will depend on your ability to oversee loading and unloading of various delivery vehicles and ensuring the facility is operating safely.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform Inventory Stock Balancing
• Perform Staff, Customer, and/or Vendor entry to terminal
• Perform Customer Driver Support
• Completion of terminal operations daily checklist
• Supervise product movements and loading/unloading truck and rail deliveries
• Complete end of day inventory report
• Perform physical labour tasks such as safely lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing stairs & Ladders up to 50 ft
• Recognize basic hazards and prioritize accordingly

Your Skills

• Proficiency in basic computer skills: MS Office
• Must be safe and comfortable to work (wearing safety gear) around high voltage and rotating equipment
• Must have valid driver’s license

Your Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years experience in material handling in related industry preferred

The expected salary range for this position is $54,380 -$67,975. Placement within range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
