Contrans Vrac in Canada seeks a Bulk AZ Long Haul Open Board Owner Operator to run long-haul routes, primarily cross-border between Canada and the U.S. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, tarping, and pre-trip inspections, with 1 year heavy haul experience or 3 years over-the-road.

Requires AZ license, clean CVOR and Driver Abstract, ability to stay out 5 days, and physically capable of climbing trailers and lifting 20–25 kg.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to climb 12’ in & out of dump trailers.
• Must be able to lift 20–25 kg of material in & out of trailers.
• Minimum of 1 year heavy haul experience or 3 years over-the-road experience.
• AZ license required.
• Good CVOR and good Driver's Abstract.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre-trip inspections.
• Load and unload bulk/dump products.
• Tarps operations: opening/closing tarps and cranking as needed.
• Clean trailers and equipment after unloading.
• Address trailer component issues and defects.
• Drive tractor and operate transmission; maintain vigilance on safety.

Bulk AZ Long haul Open board Owner Operator

• Position #: 133
• Type: Full Time - Single - O/O

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspections(Involve walking, bending, lifting and releasing the kingpin from the fifth wheel, approximately 50 pounds pulling force and winding dolly legs up or down, approximately 10 pounds force on the crank)
• Loading and off loading Bulk / Dump products
• Tarping (Opening and closing the trailer tarp on dump trailers, approximately15 pounds force twisting the tarp crank to open and up to 60 pounds pulling to close)
• Cleaning Trailers out (Sweeping the trailer after unloading – climbing,bending and walking.)
• Cleaning Trailers with Frozen product in side
• Removal of cross bows along the top of trailer (Requires hammer to removeall 10 cross bows)
• Climbing in and out of the tractor (approximately but not limiting to 2-4times daily)
• Driving (Driving can vary between 1 to 4 hours sitting and shifting thetransmission)
• Walking on uneven ground at different facilities while loading and off loading
• Dealing with Malfunctioning equipment (Trailer doors could get stuck,Trailer bows not easily coming out, issues with trapping system that may need extra force)
• Knowledge of axle weights
• Safe operation of equipment

• Must be able to cross various borders between Canada and the U.S Minimum of 1 year heavy haul experience
• Or 3 years over the road experience Licenses / Certificates: AZ license
• Qualifications / Skills: Good CVOR and good Drivers Abstract
• Will have to stay out 5 days
